So I was thinking the other day…. should we get rid of the backpack straps on the Joey bag? And replace the cost of the backpack with a spiffy shoulder strap & comfy rubber shoulder pad instead? Personally…. I find I never use it as a backpack, and use it for a compact camera bag when I’m on a shoot.
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION?
Do you like and use the back pack conversion? Or do you find it unnessary? Would you prefer a nice shoulder strap with shoulder pad instead? Take our poll below, and let us know what you think in our “comment” box.

I’m like you – never use the backpack aspect – so for me the shoulder strap would be great!

I’ve only had my bag for a month, but I’ve never used the backpack feature and don’t see myself ever using it either. 🙂

I also never use it as a backpack. I always wear it on my shoulder or messenger style.

I’ve never used it as a backpack….and I think it would be VERY helpful to have some sort of shoulder pad or rubber grip to keep the bag in place.

I tried it as a backpack one time, but it just didn’t work for me. My only complaint about the bag is that the strap is not very comfy when I am carrying it around on long shoots.

I agree with you. I have NEVER used the backpack strap. Honestly I tried but since I’m a little “meatier” it was very tight. I just stick with the shoulder strap.

I thought I would love the versatility of the backpack feature/option. Turns out it is a PITA (sorry to be blunt, but I am honest).
I saw scrap it. 🙂
