  4. My perfect vacation destination is actually one that I haven’t been to yet, but I’m hoping to make it there one day! I would love to visit one of the Sandal’s Resorts on a warm tropical island. A resort where I could have my own little bungalow, with great food, good drinks, and fun adventures like scuba diving, horseback riding, zip-lining, and TONS of amazing sights to take pictures of! This is where I’m hoping to go for my honeymoon… now I just have to get engaged. LOL : )

  6. My favorite location spot is home. lol don’t laugh, it really is.. I was born and raised in the Florida Keys, and hated living there most of the time, but now that I have moved away I miss it dearly! I still live in FL but there is nothing like having the ocean as your backyard, watching manatees and their young, watching the sunrise every morning as you go to school, and wearing tank tops and flip flops to church! The local vibe is so relaxed, and laid back. If you are looking for a nice warm spot to either party, or enjoy a nice family vacation the Keys is perfect!! Some of the islands are party towns, and other islands are very family friendly. if you ever go let me know and I will tell you all the places to go! I live less than an hour from Panama City Beach, and it has NOTHING on the keys!! (can u tell I am home sick.. lol)

  14. Ok, my dream vacation spot isn’t anyone’s typical spot… I would love to go back to Haiti. In my defense it IS quite warm there right now 😉 But being serious, I would go back to Haiti any chance I could, in a heart beat. No, in half a heart beat.

  16. I think of the places I’ve been my favorite is the Orlando area in late Feb early March, before the craziness of Spring Break but late enough to be really nice. But dream vacation is Hawaii

  17. I know it’s going to sound juvenile, but my vote is for Disney World! Your little girl would probably start to like it at this age, too (plus, she gets in free on her birthday!). Now, if we’re talking somewhere that LOOKS great that I’ve never been to, I’d vote you head to the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

  19. I could go all cliche and say Hawaii, and I wouldn’t be totally lying. I love it there, but I’ve only been once, and it was 12 years ago, so I’ll go with something more recent.

    Jekyll Island, Georgia. Not as tropical. Not as warm right now. But oh so peaceful.

    It’s a quiet little island that hardly anyone knows about, and it is perfect. You park your car, rent a little house and a bike for a week (or two!) and then spend all of your time riding bikes, playing on the beach, touring the gorgeous historic distrcit, and just relaxing as much as you possibly can.

  20. Rosemary Beach, Florida….gorgeous and perfect for photo ops. It’s between Destin and Panama City. It’s a bit pricey but beautiful.

    The smell of eucalyptus mixed with the crisp aroma of morning dew greets you when you wake up. The sounds of the kookaburras joyfully chuckling at the mobs of kangaroos who are slowly grazing the grass in the back yard. You are nestled in the valley between the craggy mountains that never ever look the same.

    We went here on our honeymoon – even though we live in Australia and were not far from here, this is the place we chose to be at. It is a magical place, breathtaking and serene.

    And being in Australia it is warm… there is a lake that can be turquoise and it’s almost tropical *cough* almost.

  29. I’m with Christy — my favorite vacation spot is Disney World. I loved it as a kid, but it’s even more “magical” to see it through your kids’ eyes! My TJ “Joey” bag was an awesome addition to our last trip! (And I already voted in the poll, but I found the backpack straps to be quite useful!)

  33. A Disney Cruise to just about anywhere 🙂 Ours was to the Bahamas, but it was our best trip BY FAR!

  40. I would have to say my favorite vacation destination is Myrtle Beach, SC… mainly because that was the destination of our “family” vacations while I was growing up. I would definitely take a cruise to a more exotic location though.. especially if I was traveling that far!

  41. I would have to say our Caribbean cruise, those islands are so beautiful and serene. We went in February 2007 when Minnesota was in the midst of a deep freeze.

    In six weeks we are once again escaping these frigid temp and leaving for Florida to spend a week at Disney with the kids. They are already proclaiming it is their favorite vacation. LOL!

  43. My favorite place, that I’ve been too is Maine. I love the cool ocean breeze and the warmth of the sun. Though I long to vacation in Hawaii!

  44. I would love to go to Naples Italy. Not a tropical spot but where my mom’s side of the family is. The last time I was there was in 1985!

  46. I was lucky enough to visit both Cuba & Hawaii last year and for me it’s a toss up. I loved both places for very different reasons. If I HAD to make a choice though, I think Hawaii would have to take it because there’s a feeling of “family” wherever you go there 🙂

  47. My favorite relaxation spot is Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. Beaches are beautiful and untouched far on the outer banks of NC and you have to get there by ferry.My husband and I visited there on our first vacation together and it’s been our favorite destination ‘close to home’ since then!

  48. My favorite is Helen, Georgia! We live in Florida and have been to Mexico, but still Helen is my fav… It is a unique little german town with great 3 story cabins with outdoor hot tubs and fireplaces. We go there every valentines day.

My favorite vacation destination is probably a tie between Englewood Beach, Florida, where my entire extended family spends a week together each summer, with beautiful sunsets, breathtaking beaches and a quaint town and The Outer Banks of North Carolina, where I spent my summers growing up running along the rolling dunes on the beaches and enjoying the quiet retreat that is so often unknown!!

  57. I get to shoot my first wedding in Grand Cayman thanks to my brother-in-law’s destination wedding! I have never been anywhere “tropical” (besides FL…which I call home), and believe this will be my new favorite vacation destination!

  58. I have always dreamed of going to Santorini, Greece. My 10 yr. wedding anniversary is coming up in a few years and we might just swing it then….As for where we’ve been that’s just absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking: Algarve, Portugal ..oh and second would be St. Lucia —where we honeymooned (drive thru volcano, sunset sailing, tropical rainforest, waterfalls…beautiful).

  61. Hi Tracy! I would have to say right now my favorite would be going home to Washington State to see the snow. Living in Arizona now, I don’t get to see it often!   62. OMG I would love it if I won this set! Well, my favorite vacation place hands down is Hawaii. Love, love, love Maui. Beautiful as could be. It’s freezing up here in Mpls, too. Apparently we may be hitting the 4th coldest January on record. Yay us.

  63. My fave vacation spot would have to be South Padre Island, TX only because I haven’t really ever been anywhere else. Or Sandusky, OH but I bet it’s pretty darn cold there now too. 😉 I would love to go to the Bahamas, Florida and Hawaii.

  64. My favorite vacation place is the Grand Caymans. I have a good friend who has a waterfront residence there, and I save money by staying with her! I’m a little jealous that she lives in paradise every single day!!

  65. My favorite place is Vegas. Something about going there and losing yourself before you have to get back to reality! It’s a nice break from the monotony!!

  66. My favorite vacation spot is far from warm when we typically visit in October, but Bar Harbor, Maine and Acadia National Park are my favorite places in the world. There’s nothing like eating lobster caught only hours earlier and shopping at at the outlets…..and of course the amazing photo ops at every turn!!!

    We rent a cabin in the woods there and it is great!

  70. Even though its not the water, I think that my Fav Vaca Spot has to be Disney World, do to the fact that I have small children. Its just magical everytime we go. And my 4 year old is a Mickey Fanatic! We were blessed enough to go this past Nov, and he was decked out in a Mickey Shirt, Mickey Hat, his Pin Lanyard, and autograph book, he was ready for Mickey to see how much he loves him 🙂

  72. What an awesome print. Fun and Funky! Just my style. Okay, my favorite destination is Disneyworld in the winter. I suppose I have only been there during that time but it great when you get out of the winterness and it is warm.

  75. Oh sweetie right now there are cheap flights so you must get out. Why don’t you look into Kauai it is great with little ones. I love Mazatlan as well, but with kiddos it is sometimes hard. There is the inn at Mazatlan though if you go you must stay there!!!!

    My favorite beach getaway is easily St. Martin & Anguilla in the Carribean. We spent our 2-week honeymoon {7 years ago} there and LOVED every minute of the sand, surf, relaxation {and the rum punches will knock your socks off!}

    I have to say that my 2nd {If not tied for 1st} favorite vacation was the trip my husband I took to Bar Harbor, Maine and all the time we spent at Acadia National Park. Absolutely gorgeous, the photo opportunities were endless {it was for this vacation that I purchased my first digital SLR}, and the stories & history were priceless!!

  77. I would have to say my Fav. vaca spot would be right here in my home state of Texas. My husband and I were bored one day and I said I wish I could walk on a beach tonight! He laughed and said I can’t take you to Hawaii or anything, but we can make it to Galveston in 3 hours! So we went and stayed at an OLD little motel the Sand Piper. It was a walk from the beach and he took me walking sunset! I can’t tell you how I fell in love with him all over again and fell in love with Galveston!   81. We’ve never been on a REAL vacation. Being military our vacations were always spent going ‘home’. Always stressful being from the same hometown. We lived for three years in HI and that was amazing, that in itself was a vacation and obviously…my favorite. I’d LOVE to go to Italy some day.

I have lived overseas for 13 years so I’ve been away for too long…I miss my family, they miss me, wherever they are I want to be, to feel safe. That’s my ultimate vacay spot. Who needs the hot sun when u have the warmth of love?

  86. LOVE the print! My favorite vacation destination is Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Went there for my honeymoon. By far the warmest kid hearted people I have ever met there. Jamaica Inn is the most timeless romantic place. The turquoise water, reggae music and jerk chicken…PARADISE!

  89. Let’s see.. my favorite vacation spot…. It would have to be Flordia. I love the beach and DH loooooves Disney. So we have to make a trip somewhere in between whenever we can. This time last year we stayed in Orlando and did a full week at Disney! It was a blast and the weather was fantastic!

First place that my husband and I traveled to as a married couple <3 and the snorkling there was fantastic!!! Ahhh, it would be heavenly to be there right now!   92. Well let’s see – 15 years of marriage and we have been on one vacation. It was fun but I can’t say it was my favorite spot. I think a trip to Ireland, Scotland, England would be absolutely magical and amazing. But for now I have to say summers in our backyard is my favorite place to “get away”. We pull out the art easel, set up the slip and slide, fill a few pools, set up a few games and before we know it the whole neighborhood is over with their kids having a great time. This usually results in kid vs. adult dodgeball until we can’t see the ball flying anymore (although we have been known to set up flood lights so we can play later). These are my favorite moments in life. Kids have fun, adults have fun, dogs have fun – it’s a great time and I look forward to these again when it gets above zero here in Minnesota – burrrrrrr!

  93. My family loves to vacation in Miami. My kids love the beach and they get to see their cousins. That’s the best part….we see family and get a vacation!

  96. What a fabulous set! I love each piece!
    So far, my favorite vacation destination is St. Thomas. We finally went last year and it was incredible! It was a wonderful time to reconnect! I would drop everything and go again, RIGHT NOW! We did make it to that portion of our honeymoon because we were married on Sept. 7th, 2001 and there were flight restrictions following 9/11. We were glad to be safe and very sad for the families who endured such loss.

  98. My husband and I LOVE to vacation in Panama City Beach, FL. We love the beaches, the beautiful waters and the FOOD!! They have great restaurants there, plus we know our way around so well we really get to enjoy ourselves instead of driving around trying to find places and getting lost and whatnot.

  99. My fav vacation spot would be the Cayman Islands. We only have been able to go twice, due to finances, but I just love snorkeling in that pristine water!..and of course playing with the stingrays.

  102. I would love to take a Disney cruise. But the usual family vacation for us is Disneyland. You just can’t miss exposing kids to the Disney magic during those all important formative years.

  105. I love San Diego, CA! It is always the perfect weather! You can wear anything and are never too hot or too cold. The San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park are also great places to spend you sun filled days. I can’t wait to go back!

  108. I personally have love South Beach Miami Florida ever since the first time I went there at the age of 16. I love the feeling I get when I am there the warmth and the friendlyness. I love how everyhting moves around you but yet it is such a nice pace. Being from New York it is the total opposite yet exactly the same. I love walking all around and seeing all the shops and just everything about it. My favorite is how it can be for kids and adults alike and everyone can have a blast.

    My favorite vacation spot? Well, my DH is heading back to Iraq again very soon so we won’t have a vacation for a while, but we talk about and dream of the day when we can take a real family vacation…

    We toss around ideas of Disney World and Florida beaches, but I know that he would really love to go back to Peru and show us Machu Pichu. He was assigned there in 2000 and sent us amazing pictures of the ancient ruins and the lush jungle.

    but honestly, anywhere with him that is warm sounds nice right about now!

  115. So far my favorite vacation spot is the Finger Lakes area of NY state — in July & August. I get to escape the heat of the south and ‘shoot’ all those amazing waterfalls, lake views, and gorges.

Hands down, my favorite vacation area is Northern Michigan’s Upper Penn… so incredibly beautiful and almost untouched…with lighthouses, Tahquamenom Falls, Fayette Village, Manistique, the Soos and even Pictured Rocks. It’s nice to get away for the “everyday”…not even a walmart in sight, and McDonald’s … LOL.. forget that too! You can never have enough memory card space!

  118. Not warm and sunny, by any means, but I would love to go on an Alaskan cruise. I lived there for a few years, and the weather near the ocean is fairly mild. It’s beautiful.

    My Dh and I have spent a week in Playa Del Carmen.
    Spent days visiting ancent ruins, snorkeling, mopeding around Cozumel.

  120. I have actually stumbled upon a website that has made me spend two days researching and reading blogs, which by the way I have only read one blog since my photographer career of 5 years since starting to take appts from people other than my own friends and family.
    Just built a brand new photography studio, modern, contemporary decor. Havent had Grand Opening due to trying to get all the thing done that involves opening a business and trying to raise a family and having time & energy for both..

  121. My favorite vacation spot would be hot and sunny…any beach would do! As I look out my window and see several inches of snow and long, dangerous icicles hanging from my house, a hot beach sounds WONDERFUL!!

My favorite place is Cuba, not only because I get to see my father’s family, but because the country is gorgeous and the people are wonderful, even though they’ve had to get used to a very hard way of life. I miss it terribly and haven’t been able to return in 10 years. I hope this year the laws change.

  126. I just have to say, my all time favorite vacation is Cancun, Mexico…talk about beautiful white sand, crystal clear blue water for as far as you can see.

  130. My favorite vacation spot was on the cliffs at the West End in Negril, Jamaica, others might like the 7 mile beach but I enjoyed the West End with no hussel and bussel, just pure relaxation. It was fantastic to shower under the tree canopy in your own private shower. Negril is a small town miles hours from any concrete jungle. The people are very friendly and it was amazing to see how differently they live from our fast paced lives. I would recommend it to all as your next vacation destination!

  132. My favorite destination spot is the Caribbean. Anywhere! I just love cruises, being able to see many places in a spam of time. I am in Chicago too and it is too cold right now!

    I am fortunate enough to live in the Florida Panhandle and gorgeous vacation spots are all within an hour away and in my own town (someone mentioned where I lived below LOL). To me, that’s the best vacation! You aren’t worn out by the journey but still had an amazing time. My favorite spots are down a road called 30-A (Rosemary Beach, Grayton Beach, Seaside, and Watercolors are all down there). Destin is gorgeous as well but unfotunately too many have found out how wonderful it is. Along 30-A you still have that quaint Florida beach village feel to it. It’s a spectacular part of Florida!

My parents started taking me and sister when we were really young to the Bluegrass Festival and it just stuck as an ever summer getaway. I wish I could afford to take my kiddos now, but unfortunately, it is out of our price range. lol

    So… A favorite warm place… I have to say mine is Waikiki Beach. I went there as an 8th grader with my family and the best vacation I’ve ever had. I’d love to take my hubby there one day.

  139. Love that bag! My alltime favorite vacation place is Tahiti. Seriously the most beautiful place on the planet. The water is this three shades of blue that you just cannot imagine. 🙂

  141. Love your bags, I just wish I had the $$ to buy one right now. I rarely take vacations but the 2 places I really enjoyed was Myrtle Beach and Sanibel Island/Fort Myers, Fl. Vegas was another one but no beaches and hot sand there.

  143. My favorite vacation destination is my own house! We live in sunny Florida right on a beautiful lake. We have a wonderful backyard, relaxing pool deck that overlooks the lake and a great whirlpool tub for relaxing soaks. Best of all, I’m not stressing over the expense! LOL If I really need to ‘go’ somewhere, the beach is about 5 minutes away. Nothing beats warm sand in your toes and watching dolphins playing in the warm waves. Bliss!

  144. So So So Cute! My favorite destination is Bonaire, a very small island in the Netherland Antilles. Gorgeous water and FANTASTIC diving, and warm with no snow.

  147. I am so in love with that print!!! I’ve been drooling over the Kristine for quite some time, but just haven’t been able to spend the money.

    I went on a mission trip last March to Placencia, Belize. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We were staying less than a mile from the ocean and spent a lot of time there. It was a gorgeous turquoise blue and fairly clean. We took a boat out and went snorkeling one day and visited some smaller islands which was really awesome. They even let us take some shells and little things we found back with us. I also remember all the houses we passed were super bright and colorful – anything from purple to orange. And the flowers were really beautiful too! Ahhh…. I can’t wait to go back!

  148. Not tropical, but my vacation destination would be Yellowstone. Not too far away, lots of chances to take pictures, and the kids have been begging to go too!

  149. Sleeping in the Hammocks on the beach, crashing waves, scent of suntan lotion, dancing to raegae music…. Eating some jerk chicken on the shoreline with your feet dipped in the water. Brings me all the way back to 2003….when I married my bestfriend…….. Jamaica

  150. I love the area 2 hours south of Cancun. The resorts are smaller and quieter than crazy Cancun. And the beaches are amazing!

  151. Well I think I’m pretty spoiled…I grew up in Orlando and I now live on the coast of GA near Jekyll Island (mentioned above) and very close to Savannah (also mentioned above). So needless to say I have always been content staying close to home because where ever I have lived there is always so much to do. BUT I do LOVE to travel and love seeing new things. Alaska has been my favorite to see the wonder of God’s creation…it’s simply breathtaking. Victoria Falls in Zambia was also amazing!!! And of course St. Croix in the USVI is wonderful…it’s where we were married and the water is beautiful!

    My all time favorite vacation spot is Aruba- lots of white sand, blue water and tropical beaches.
    However I am also a HUGE fan of Disneyworld. We went over Christmas and it was a dream come true for our 2 girls.

  153. I would say the perfect spot would be Italy. Beautiful scenery, great weather, yummy food, and LOTS of eye candy (shh!!! Don’t tell my husband, lol) A perfect location for a photographer. Sure beats our Chicago winters.

    now about that favourite holiday destination. Well, really it would be anywhere my family is, as in the whole family (grandparents, hubby, kids, brother and his family, aunts, uncles, etc) we always holiday together.
    But one of my favourite past holidays was the romantic getaway my husband and I had before we had kids to the Maldives. Warm water, tropical fish, sun, sea and sand. Just so relaxing!

  158. I’m from South Louisiana, where the weather is pretty much tropical most of the year. So my favorite vacation spot is Gatlinburg, Tennessee during the fall. It’s nice and cool and everything is changing colors and I love the mountains!

  159. I have not gone on many vacations in my life time, but I think that my favorite vacation was to DisneyLand, with my now husband. It was so special spending the time with him, and such a wonderful memory. In April we are going to DisneyWorld for our anni. and I can’t wait.

  160. My favorite vacation destination would have to be Gros Mourne National Park in Newfoundland, Canada….mid summer of course! At the top of Gros Mourne mountain, you can touch the sky and clouds, see for miles, touch the mountains, touch the water…you are on top of the world and the view is beyond breathtaking! 🙂

  161. Well, my favorite vacation spot does not actually have turquoise water or a tropical climate…it’s actually here in the mountains of Montana. But it’s beautiful. Lush, green forests, fast, cold creeks, and a hot springs! There’s also a place nearby where you can dig for crystals. Wonderful campgrounds and lots of wildlife…it’s almost paradise!

  164. Oh I just bought my first bag, I am soo excited to see it! Now if I wast to go on vacation right now, I think I would head to Tofino, BC for a romantic weekend with dh. Remote beauty, right on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Pounding surf and miles of unspoiled beach and wilderness to explore. Never all that cold and with a bit of a sunny day can even get quite warm at this time of the year (not tropical warm, but say a nice day in May warm) Amazing B&B’s and resorts to stay at and excellent food!

  166. I´ve yet never been to US, but my favourite vacation was when traveling around in south-east Asia, a small island, Mindoro, in Philippines. This was 1992, not many tourists and absolutely wonderful!

  167. My favorite vacation spot is my parents house in North Carolina. Don’t get my wrong I love the nice beach getaway too, but time with family is my favorite. I love seeing my kids interact with their grandparents. Plus, it is a nice escape from the cold of the Northeast.

  171. Hmmmm…an all inclusive resort in St. Lucia. Lots of tropical drinks with fun umbrellas, yummy food, surf, sand, and of course SUN! Geez, now I REALLY wish I was there. It is freezing where I am. 🙁

  173. My favorite vacation was in Thailand, Koh Samet, at that time a very quiet island with limited access to it. Absolutely beautiful!

  174. My favorite vacation place is anywhere sunny, warm and spent with my family. I love summer vacations on Lake Michigan, cabin rentals in the Smokey Mountains or the white sand beaches of Florida in the winter. Spending this time with my family means so much more than where we spend it!
