I thought I would love the versatility of the backpack feature/option. Turns out it is a PITA (sorry to be blunt, but I am honest).

I saw scrap it. :-)

I agree with you. I have NEVER used the backpack strap. Honestly I tried but since I'm a little "meatier" it was very tight. I just stick with the shoulder strap.

I tried it as a backpack one time, but it just didn't work for me. My only complaint about the bag is that the strap is not very comfy when I am carrying it around on long shoots.

I've never used it as a backpack....and I think it would be VERY helpful to have some sort of shoulder pad or rubber grip to keep the bag in place.

I also never use it as a backpack. I always wear it on my shoulder or messenger style.

I've only had my bag for a month, but I've never used the backpack feature and don't see myself ever using it either. :)

I'm like you - never use the backpack aspect - so for me the shoulder strap would be great!
